Peace and Love

My name is Dr. Tiy-E Muhammad (Ed.D., LPC, NCC), literally the most interesting man alive (in my own mind anyway – smile). As a Licensed Professional Counselor, Life Consultant, Author, Motivational Speaker, Educator, and Spiritual Advisor, my life is dedicated to fulfilling my Godly purpose; which is to help people achieve inner peace, love, and great health. I’m currently a Visiting Lecturer at Georgia State University (Psychology department), freelance Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and looking to get my first movie script greenlit in Tinseltown. I’ve had the good fortune to spend decades healing relationships and promoting GODLY happiness through my books, workshops, and on Radio and Television.

I’ve also been blessed to be a part of some of the most successful franchises in television history, ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” “The Ricki Lake Show,” TBS’ “The Real Gilligan’s Island,” “MTV’s Made,” Bravo’s “ManSwers,” and more. My relationship advice has been featured in Cosmopolitan, Essence, Jet and Ebony Magazines.

I’m from the South-Side of Chicago (and YES, I AM A HUGE CHICAGO CUBS FAN), and I decided early in life to become a change agent. The first in my family to pursue higher education, I received a B.A. in Political Science and an M.S. in Educational Psychology from Eastern Illinois University. I also hold an Ed.D. in Community Counseling from Argosy University.  I’m an Air Force Veteran, a member of the Prince Hall Affiliated Masons, and a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.

In addition to having written 5 books on love and relationships, and health and wellness, I’ve taught on the university level in Atlanta, Chicago, Indianapolis, and Los Angeles.

I consider right now to be the very best moment of my life. I have completed 7 marathons (26.1), hold a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, and believe fitness and nutrition are vitally important aspects of positive mental health and healthy relationships.

Right now, I’m working to complete my second Masters Degree in ‘Sport Exercise Psychology.’ I love engaging my scholars, pouring into the lives of others, and most importantly spending time with my beautiful wife and two wonderful children.
